Walking and Cycling Tracks

There is a reason the Whakatipu is nicknamed ‘Walk-a-tipu’. That’s because there are scores of walking tracks in the area for all levels of ability. Many leave from Arrowtown’s back door – and take you along the same routes as those hardy miners, or allow you to meander around rivers and lakes. Marvel at the striking scenery, or discover old mining ruining while getting out and enjoying this environment. Come and see us for a map and some advice about which walk would suit you best.

The Wakatipu has become a cyclist's paradise! The Queenstown Trails network has over 100km of gorgeous cycle trails that meander through our lovely countryside. We can help you hire a bike and we have maps of the trails available to help you decide where to go!
